This year's opening 600k, now known as the Southern Tour, will start at a new hotel, the Norwood Inn and Suites in Eagan, about 5 miles north of our traditional ride start locations in Apple Valley. This event is a double loop ride starting with a 234 mile loop going east over to Prescott inWisconsin, down the Mississippi River to Pepin, the hilly route over to Durand then returning to Wabasha, Zumbrota and Cannon Falls for some rolling country then back to the hotel. The Day 2 loop will go west and south of the Cities down to Faribault for a section on the Sakatah trail then up to Cleveland and over to Lonsdale using parts of the William Dodd Road Ramble route. In general Loop 1 has more hills and scenary, Day 2 is flatter and has more c-store/services opportunities.

You can ride the loops back to back if you are contemplating a straight through ride.
A block of rooms have been booked at the Norwood Inn and Suites for riders returning from the Day 1 loop on Saturday night. All rooms have 2 queen beds so we'll double up when we can. A supper buffet will be available when you arrive and breakfast when you get up.
Cost for the hotel, meals and support is $60/rider. If you have already registered for this ride, please remit the ride fee directiy, via PayPal, to MnRandopp@aol.com.
If you need a room at the Norwood on Friday or Sunday, contact the hotel directly at 651-681-9266. Room rates are very reasonable.
