Minnesota Randonneurs Board Challenge Week 16, August 24-30 – Final Week!
We finished our Strava Board Challenge series this week on a good note. Summer is winding down, but we are still out there logging some great miles and having fun.
This coming weekend marks the opening of the Minnesota Randonneurs Brevet/Populaire season. For the month of September we have rides starting at 100k, ending up with a 200k/300k opportunity by the end of the month. By this time of the year, most of us have already logged a good number of non-rando miles, now you can put these to good use to enjoy the remainder of the season on some fun randonneur events. Check out the website (www.MnRando.org) for the schedule, get signed up and registered and we’ll see you soon.
Our Strava club will be used by riders of our events as a proof of passage. We are hoping to be able to schedule more rides in October, including a gravel ride or two and perhaps a 400k and 600k to help our riders achieve an ACP Super Randonneur award – more on this later.
This past week we logged 130 rides of at least 50km. Our long distance riders showed up again, recording 9 rides of 200k or longer.
We finished our series with 131 members with 98 of them recording at least one ride this week on our Strava club – thanks for joining and participating.
Congratulations to the following 200k+ riders this week
